We finally arrive in Moc Chau, a valley cradled by majestic mountains. The climate here is cool, fresh, and pleasantly moderate, making it an ideal first destination. Moc Chau’s poetic landscapes and rustic yet delightful cuisine make it a perfect introduction to this off-road adventure.

Lao Chai – Ta Van Village, about 7 km from Sapa town center, is home to diverse ethnic minorities, including the Mong, Dao, Giay, and Tay. A one-day trek to explore Lao Chai – Ta Van offers visitors a chance to step away from the bustling streets of Sapa and immerse themselves in the authentic life of the mountain villages.

Behind you lies the lively town, but ahead unfolds the idyllic beauty of mountains, forests, and valleys. While modern amenities have reached the village, the local people still preserve their traditional culture and way of life, making Lao Chai – Ta Van a captivating destination for both domestic and international travelers.

Nestled in a valley between the majestic Hoang Lien Son and Ham Rong mountain ranges, the village is surrounded by terraced rice fields that stretch right up to the doors of houses. These terraces, crafted over hundreds of years by the skillful hands of ethnic minority farmers, resemble giant landscape paintings, with graceful curves shaped by “barefoot artists.”

The best time to visit is during the harvest season in April and September, when the fields turn a vibrant golden, and each step through the terraces evokes a sense of awe and passion.

By the end of the Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van 1-day trekking tour, you will carry unforgettable memories of Sapa’s stunning natural scenery and the warm hospitality of the mountain communities.
