8:00 AM – The Chi’sWheels Motorcycle Tour team will pick you up from your hotel or any location you prefer and take you to the starting point on the outskirts of Ha Giang city.
After gearing up, we’ll ride out of the city to Pac Sum Pass, where a short hike offers stunning views of valleys and rustic Tay and Thai villages. Then we continue to the famous Heaven Gate in Tam Son, over 1,200 meters above sea level, for breathtaking panoramas.
Next, we explore the Rock Plateau, stopping at Twins Hill and Nam Dam Village to see the unique clay houses of the Dzao people and enjoy a local lunch. In the afternoon, the loop tour continues through scenic valleys and handicraft villages, ending in Yen Minh at a cozy homestay.

Today’s ride is truly the highlight of the Ha Giang loop by motorbike. After bidding farewell to our local hosts, we ride along the stunning Rock Plateau toward Dong Van, crossing the famous twisty Tham Ma Pass, perfect for photos and meeting playful ethnic children. This iconic pass is often considered a symbol of Ha Giang.
Next, we descend to a charming H’Mong village, exploring centuries-old houses and meeting the locals. Then we climb to the northern edge of the Dong Van Plateau to visit the historic Lung Cu Flagpole, the northernmost point of Vietnam bordering China—a major highlight of the tour. From here, panoramic views and stories about Vietnam’s history await, guided by our Chi’sWheels team.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant near Lung Cu. In the afternoon, the ride continues more gently with visits to ethnic villages, including a Lo Lo village, where we discover unique customs and admire traditional clay houses.
We end the day in Dong Van town, checking into a hotel for the night—or, for those who wish, continue riding to a tranquil ancient village near the Chinese border.

The final day of the Ha Giang loop tour is a gentle, relaxing ride. Today’s route mostly winds downhill along quiet, easy roads, offering peaceful views of the countryside, rustic wooden houses, and sweeping rice terraces. Along the way, we’ll stop at some of the most picturesque villages for short visits.
The Chi’sWheels Motorcycle Tour guides offer flexible route options, so the ride can be longer or shorter depending on your energy and preferences. We typically return to Ha Giang city around 3:30 PM, ending the tour at your hotel or the bus station, according to your request.
